    Works with SmartThings
In order to connect with SmartThings, I intially followed the steps outlined in the User Manual that comes with the bulbs. The User Manual says to choose “Smart Life” when adding a new device. The response of the SmartThings app is different from what is pictured in the User Manual. The SmartThing app tries to get you to connect with the Smart Life universe. This may work if you have a Smart Life hub, but I do not.Instead, the following is how I got it to work. For initial pairing I suggest you locate the bulb close to the Smarthings hub. In the SmartThings app:1. Click on the “+” in the upper right and choose “Add device”.2. Click on the “Add” button under “Partner devices”3. Near the top, click on “SmartThings”.4. Click on “Lighting”.5. Click on “Smart Bulb”. May have to wait a few seconds while drivers are downloaded. Should now be on the “Verify your device” screen where you can scan a barcode (no barcode came with these bulbs).6. Click on “Skip this step”. A confirmation screen appears.7. Click on “Skip”. The “prepare your device” screen appears.8. Following the “factory Reset” procedure outlined in the User Manual, Switch the power on the bulb: ON for 1 second, off for 2 seconds, ON for 1 second, off for 2 seconds, and then on. The bulb should flash a couple of times and then the app should say that it found the bulb within a few seconds. Once paired, the bulb will get a device name of “TS0505B Tuya Bulb”.9. If unable to pair, do the power cycle procedure again.10. You should be able to control the light settings from the SmartThings app.The bulbs are outside and about 20 feet from the hub. They seem to work fine and are controllable from the SmartThings app.

Better Than Expected- They Just Work!
I bought 10 of these bulbs to replace my boring white soffit downlights and to add to the holiday decor. They were the same size as the regular/standard bulbs. They fit perfectly. I was able to add them to my Philips Hue app without any issues or warnings. The setup was no different than adding a genuine Hue bulb.Pros:Full color spectrum – Colors look true to the selectionCost savings – Less than 1/3 of the cost of the ‘Big Brand’ bulbBrightness – Just as bright (maybe a little brighter) than the previous bulbsEasy Install – They just work! No issues!Cons:None so far! Time will tell how they stand up to the Midwest weather.

Only lasted for almost three months
I put it on Dec 2nd, 2022. And it had trouble connecting to the wifi Feb 23rd, 2023.I was happy that I found a smart bulb that is A15 Smart bulb (E12). But it seems like I have to start using the other pair now. By the way, app works great and voice commands are so helpful with alexa.

    AMAZING PRODUCT! 2021
These are amazing, I have tried to look for a light bulb that would work in my Ceiling fans in the bedroom, I had a issue trying to find a smart bulb that would fit, and allow the cover to go back on properly. These little babies do the trick, they where easier to connect to my smart home system too just as soon as they where put into pairing mode the system picked them up and I attached them no issues at all. I love how you can change the colors and the room names . Over all a very Lovely product!

    Doesn’t Work with the App
The bulb was easy to install and set up, but once I did, it was totally unresponsive to any commands I gave it through the Smart Life app. I tried putting the bulb in several different light fixtures throughout the house only to get the same results. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting power, and it would follow a command or two to change color, but would again become unresponsive within a few seconds. I couldn’t even turn it on and off through the app. I checked to make sure I had the correct wifi setup. I did. I followed the bulb and app’s instructions to the letter again and again with the same results every time. I guess it would work if I just wanted an LED bulb at max brightness all the time. But I could do that for a lot cheaper.

Nifty little bulbs, completed my den lighting plan.
I thought I was in real trouble when I discovered my was sconces needed special bulbs. I thought I had a problem in the beginning when I couldn’t get them to join the network, but I waited a day and my WiFi kicked in and they popped into the network using the smart life app, and then added to Alexa a moment later. They have worked perfectly.

    ‘Device is unresponsive’ issues
The bulbs are very bright and have an excellent color range.I had to install a separate app to integrate the bulbs with Alexa, but that wasn’t difficult. The issue I have is with repeated, ‘device unresponsive’ issues, where one or two of the bulbs will respond, but one or two other(s) will not…until I’ve physically turned them off and on at the switch several times, so I cannot say they are ‘easy to use.’I have bulbs from another brand (that shall remain nameless) that work much better, and while they cost quite a bit more, I think I’ll buy some of them.
