Works as intended
This hub works great. I saw some of the reviews complaining about it being an extra device and not connecting to their random bluetooth devices like an electric toothbrush, but that’s only because they don’t understand what this product is supposed to do. It doesn’t just connect your bluetooth devices to WiFi. It is intended for compatible bluetooth smart devices, like light bulbs, doorknobs, deadbolts, thermostats, etc. Normally you have to be within 30′ to control them via bluetooth using an app on your phone, but this device creates a bridge to the internet so that these devices can be controlled over the internet so that they can be controlled when you aren’t actually at your home. One example is if you’re stuck out of town and need to let someone enter your home to feed your dog, you can unlock your front door and turn on a light from wherever you are at. It also allows you to control those devices using voice assistants like Alexa, Google Home, or Siri.For the function it is intended to perform, it works great. It is easy to set up, and provides a seamless connection between your Amazon Echo and Google Home Hubs to your bluetooth and Zigbee smart devices, so that you can control them from anywhere and set up routines to simplify your home life.

App is clunky. Once set up it basically works as advertised.
Having to use this in order to control other devices doesn’t make a lot of sense when most can be directly controlled by their own app and/or Alexa/Google. Had some issues with getting the app to work right. Will probably go back to avoiding devices that require a hub.Had the impression it would have a clock, but on closer inspection of the description in Amazon it seems that there is a different version to get the clock.

I have it set up in Smart Home and it has helped with some items
Okay, so I wanted to have some smart USB outlets. Now, understand that I have regular smart outlets that I can control via Alexa by voice (smart light bulbs, too), but I have a few things that power up with a USB cord and I wanted to be able to control those USB cords by voice through Alexa. My first try was a total disaster – there are ONLY two smart USB outlets (by this I mean, the smart USB piece plugs into a USB outlet and the item I want to control then plugs into the smart USB outlet which can be voice controlled through Alexa or Google). My successful purchase was this one: Tuya Micro DC 5V USB Smart WiFi Adaptor for USB Devices. It WORKS through Smart Home paired with THIS Tuya Zigbee Gateway! I now have a couple of my USB powered devices that I can control by voice thanks to this Tuya gateway. Now others may use it to assist in connecting their own smart items, but for me, this was a “next step” with some of the USB powered items I have and will use in the future – like my Christmas tree string lights that are all USB powered!

It works on 2.4ghz networks and has dual protocol communications.It will accommodate 32 devices over mesh and 50 via Bluetooth.Get either Smart Life APP/Tuya apps to control your smart devices. This integrates with Alexa and Google home nicely so you can just tell Alexa what to do if you’d like. And it supports scenes so you can set up your music and lights and anything else per season and save them. Then enable them. You can have scenes for relaxing or parties or exercising or life in general (remember this works with/controls the devices you already own or are going to add).Highly recommend.

Doesn’t work!
Got this to try and control some of the many bluetooth devices I have around my house.I set up the device and ran the scan to see what BT devices it would find – the answer – Absolutely 0!!No matter what I tried this device won’t find a single bluetooth device I have in my house.I even tried to connect my Oral B toothbrush (ya even that has BT in it) with no luck.In addition to this the device is supposed to show the time once it’s connected – but that’s not working either.Not worth the aggravation to try and get this set up.

Not sure it’s fully functional
I’ve got this device, and added it to my Smart Life automation platform; however, I’ve never ever seen the time display on the device actually function – it’s been blank, and no matter what I do – adding a device to it, or pressing the button on the top – I never get a clock on it.I suppose if it works as a Zigbee/BT gateway that’s good enough, just strange that it seems to not be fully functional as advertised.

3 stars for easy to plug in and power. Ordered from Vine, so was able to get this for testing. I must be the unluckiest non-alexa device checker on the face of the earth. I plug them in, download the app to my phone, fire it up, search, and then watch it find nothing, and watch the Alexa app not find it.

Works with Zigbee devices
If you need a gateway hub for Zigbee devices, this is a decent device that does just that. I took a star because it does not show the time and for the price, it really should! I tried putting it upstairs, but it was flaky with turning on my bathroom lights downstairs. I put it downstairs near the light switch and it works with absolutely no problem. It was easy enough to pair in Smart Life app and now I can use Alexa to turn off the bathroom light without getting up if one of the kids forget to when they are done. Would I recommend this and the light switch I have paired with it? No, I would not. It’s an extra step, extra energy being used, and there are smart switches for half the price of this hub alone that make all this setup unnecessary. If you have multiple Zigbee devices already that need a hub, then it may be worth it.
