My Front Door’s New Best Friend
I recently installed the Ring Doorbell and it’s been a great upgrade for my home. The video quality is clear during the day and surprisingly good at night. The motion alerts come through quickly, and I like being able to check who’s at the door right from my phone.Setup was simple—took only a few minutes—and the app is easy to use. I also like that I can review recordings whenever I need to. The two-way audio is loud and clear, which makes talking to delivery drivers really convenient.Overall, the Ring Doorbell gives me peace of mind and feels reliable. Definitely recommend it if you want better security and a simple smart-home setup.

Amazing Doorbell — Installation Hardware Needs Improvement
The Ring doorbell itself is a great product. Setup was fairly easy to follow, the video quality is excellent, and the wide-angle lens is truly impressive — it captures a large area and provides a clear picture. The downside is the lack of mounting options and limited support for common installation scenarios. There are no proper mounting plates available to attach the doorbell to a metal electrical gang box, which is a very common setup. I was honestly surprised that Ring or third-party manufacturers don’t offer a compatible solution.Because of this, I had to purchase a mounting plate from another brand and modify it just to make it work. It functions, but this should not be necessary for a product at this price point. If Ring addressed this issue with proper mounting accessories, this would be an easy five-star product.

Ring is a good purchase
Love love ring products. Wish they wouldn’t have raised the price for the subscription. This is a wired doorbell so the battery is charged constantly. Quality pictures and great with motion detection (annoying to some degree if you leave the notifications on). Good value for the money and keeps a good connection to the WiFi network.

Works great
Works really well. No need to run wires other than using the existing wires connected to the old doorbell button. The alerts (to person and packages arriving) are immediate. Seems the actual ringing of the doorbell being almost redundant. Very good system.

Not recommended – flawed function with Echo devices
Doorbell works – chime kit sounds and video is on Ring App as well. This is great if you live in a two room abode. It does not work with Echo devices. The Alexa app on my phone was recently updated to Alexa+ and menus changed and apparently functionality with the Ring doorbell is down the toilet. I am computer literate and have wasted 3 hours chasing the gremlin.I wanted to use Echo devices (claimed compatible in the specs) for doorbell announcement rings in the basement and my bedroom. No dice! Perhaps it is incompatibility with the new Alexa + app but there is no clear pathways to get it done. This is an example of SKU proliferation in products and creation of gremlins in trying to maintain upward compatibility. If you expect it to work flawlessly with Echo devices as advertised, you will be quite disappointed. Buyer beware.
