EPIC Security Camera
Picked up the REOLINK Argus 4 Pro to keep an eye on my jet skis in their trailer in the public garage. Mounted it on a fiberglass pole and it’s held up great-semi-exposed to weather but no issues so far. Motion detection is spot-on-catches everything without false alerts, and I get instant notifications on my phone. Battery life is solid; it’s solar-powered, so it’s been running strong for weeks without needing a recharge. Connectivity is reliable-strong signal even in the garage-and setup was dead simple, took like 10 minutes. Night vision is excellent; I can see everything in crisp detail even with the garage lights out. It’s a very good value for the money and works exactly as it should. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a solid wireless cam for outdoor gear storage.

Great Camera Great Support
REOLINK Altas PT Ultra is the only camera that will record 24/7 and I can attest that it can do it with style and clarity. There are two additional events that are noteworty:1: Things happen and when they do it’s really great to Excellent Support. When I had problem with the solar panel. The defective one was quickly replaced.2: The current Solar Panel 2 shipped with the REOLINK Altas PT Ultra does generally recharge the batteries to 100% within daylight hours, but I would recommend the Solar Panel 3 (12W) which generally recharges the batteries within 4 hours of daylight.Great camera and great support if you need it

Solar panel doesn’t work
Works good for what you get. Camera is slow to PTZ on motion and slow to respond to directional controls on app. Solar panel does not charge. Of anything it slows down the battery drain, at best. Still need to plug in to charge once a week. That said, the picture quality is better than I expected on a wireless camera.

WiFi battery cameras with NVR are completely useless !
An unbelievable piece of junk in the field of software and network programming. I’ve worked as an IT and network engineer for over 30 years, and what I’ve experienced with the software of these battery-powered WiFi cameras defies all imagination. Password restrictions are predefined but ignored if not followed. The NVR creates its own subnet in the 172.16.x.x range. Everyone knows that this leads to problems and collisions. This subnet has its own DHCP server and a bridge function to the user’s main network without even a hint of security in either direction. Furthermore, while the DHCP server can be disabled, the NVR then no longer allows IP connections to the cameras. As soon as another, unrelated IP camera connects to the network, the entire camera network connection collapses. Don’t subject yourselves to this garbage. I’m returning everything. This company should fire all its programmers or shut down, as there’s absolutely no network security here. Any attacker could hack this system in minutes !

Reolink nothing wrong with it simply the best
Better!! than the Argus previous model, which battery lifetime exceeds the 6 years!.Works with Alexa devices. So easy to install, wi-fi connection so easy,Zoom quality is great no problem within the 40ft radius, great value during Black Friday.Highly recommended it. No regrets Reolink is the best of the best.

More Power Scotty
The camera itself is great, five stars for the functionality and operation. The included six watt solar panel is horrible and honestly don’t purchase it. The panel cannot keep up with the demands of the camera, at least not in the winter months. Bringing the camera indoors to charge is an option but depending on your installation it could be a pain. The camera screws into it mount so these have to be removed each time you want to dismount the camera.. Reolink has a 12 watt solar panel available now and honestly they should include that one instead, even if it adds a few bucks to the overall purchase. Reolink offers solutions such as turning off PIR functions etc. but why buy a camera with all these features and then not able to use them.So five stars for the camera but had to reduce it to three overall due to the six watt panel. I did purchase the twelve watt separately and it solves all of the charging issues.

Great unless it’s very cold for days and won’t charge
Grat picture. It tracks well. Easy to set up. Only thing is if it gets very cold, below 30f, for several days you’ll have to bring it inside to charge because it will not charge in the cold.

This is an exceptional solar security camera that can connect to the highly useful Home Hub. It offers a wide range of customizable features without requiring a subscription, and the accompanying app pairs seamlessly and is easy to navigate. The app and camera works well with a dedicated Alexa skill, allowing you to set up motion detection notifications for person detection that are sent to your Alexa-compatible devices, either through voice announcements or live feed views, depending on the device. The camera paired effortlessly with my Home Hub and the phone app, effectively filtering which videos are sent to the Hub and which are stored locally on the camera. I can access all recorded videos through the playback feature in the app, which typically includes motion without people, but whenever it detects a person, the video is saved to the Home Hub. I appreciate the ability to set up a Non-Detection Zone and adjust its settings for Person, Vehicle, Animal, and Others. The picture clarity is outstanding, even in low light conditions. The infrared imagery is clear and crisp, and the camera can be set to turn on its lights upon detecting motion, switching the recording to full color. It can also be set to follow movement. I can see every small detail, such as individual leaves, clearly regardless of the outdoor lighting. It also has smart detection features that can be adjusted individually—such as setting vehicle detection to low, animal detection to medium, and person detection to high—allowing for customization based on your specific needs and the location of your camera. The camera is sturdy, durable, and easy to install. I installed it myself using just a small handheld electric screwdriver and had no trouble mounting it on the wooden porch pillar, along with its solar panel. The solar function is impressive, and despite frequent notifications from deer and pedestrians, even on a cloudy day, I have never seen the battery percentage drop below 97%. These came with all the necessary hardware and multiple mounting options. The instructions were clear, concise, and easy to follow, and I had no issues at all. I have already recommended this brand and these specific cameras to friends and coworkers.

Incredible solar powered security camera. Purchased a proper high endurance SD card as is required for being out in the sun all day. Camera charges as well as the solar panel keeps it powered on PIR for almost a year. Works great so far and the app is easy to use.

I have 6 Reolink cameras around the property, but they are all wired, so adding the Atlas PT Ultra Solar camera gives me coverage where I don’t have any power. All the cameras, including this one, are connected to my Reolink Hub Pro and have been working flawlessly. This camera, and I think all the Reolink cameras, are dual band/WiFi 6, (at least the newer models), so I switched this one to connect on the 2.4 GHz since the 5Ghz isn’t as stable where I installed the camera, and it still has no problem recording to the hub. Detects and tracks instantly with dependable notifications. Image quality is amazing, and with the ColorX Night Vision, I can view/record in color without seeing everything in black and white like typical night vision. The other big feature is that, like with other Reolink wired cameras, it has continuous recording. I found many “solar” cameras only offer event recording to preserve battery life… I don’t recall if the battery size was mentioned in the specs, but this one’s battery is massive and has had no issues, even with a few continuous overcast days. I have the camera installed under the well shelter, which allows it to pan 360°, and the solar panel on top of the shelter.Overall, impressively designed, great quality build, image quality is superb, pan/tilt versatility, works with the Reolink hubs, and a great addition (or start) to a Reolink ecosystem.
