Excellent trail cam with convenient phone app to view photos and control settings remotely!
There’s been quite a lot of noise in my attic lately. Enough to make me wonder if there’s a raccoon, squirrel or rat up there! I chose this trail camera because I wanted a camera that was wireless and something that I can check the footage through my phone so I don’t have to keep going up into the attic. On day two I got a ton of images and videos and found my culprit. It’s a chubby mouse! After watching so many videos of it playing in the attic, we have grown fond of the critter lol. We will be purchasing a humane trap next so that we can release him safely outside. The video footage is excellent especially the night vision because it is pitch black up there. I like that I can control all of the settings through the app on my phone. It’s incredibly convenient. I will be purchasing more as I would like to leave some in the yard as well.

Loved the camera until it stopped connecting.
Purchased July 24, 2024. They were responsive on Sat and continue to be in contact with me. I replaced the SD card but still won’t connect. I am having the same issue as the review posted in July. This is a copy of the review but same issue.”One is that the wifi/bluetooth functionality to download to their app on a smartphone seems to be sluggish and can get stuck/hung when there’s a large number of items to transfer (say over 5 or 6 video/photos). I was very close to the camera so I don’t think distance was the issue.. sometimes it works but slow, other times it gets stuck and just sits there. The other things I’m noticing is that the videos it makes seem to hang pauses in them where the subject in motion freezes for several frames and then is moving again.”I am updating my review. I have heard back from them several times and they are sending me a new camera. I love my camera. It was easy to set up. The photos are great. The camera even took a video of a rat going by! I am waiting to get my new SD card and see if that was the issue. Will update if it was so. Jan was great at customer service.

Well made. Solid construction
Model E6. Easy setup. Very clear pictures. Sim card and batteries not included. Battery life not too great. Well made. Heavy duty construction. I haven’t had it out in rainy weather but it looks like it would not leak and could handle bad weather. WiFi was easy setup. Would buy again.

Not useful for mice
I bought this to try and monitor mouse activity in my basement and get to the bottom of where they were coming in and how many were evading my traps. I have it placed pretty close to where the mice were walking past, about a foot away from the ledge on my foundation they love to travel on. I have it set to high sensitivity, which according to the manual will record even the slightest movements, I figured ideal for small critters like mice in a static environment like my basement. The attached image is the very first frame of a video that I got from the trail cam when it was triggered by a mouse. The mouse was traveling left to right, but the camera didn’t even begin recording it until it was already halfway past the camera view. Probably a 2 second delay at the slow speed this guy was traveling. I was expecting a much faster reaction time from the camera between detected movement and recording beginning. After seeing this video I placed 2 sticky traps in between my snap traps. The mice hit the stickies then tend to fall off the foundation ledge and onto the floor. The next morning I had 2 mice caught in 2 sticky traps but only one video. The video was of no movement, but a sticky trap was missing. So the camera missed the mouse walking over the trap and getting stuck, but only triggered after the trap fell off the ledge. The other mouse hitting the second sticky trap and then falling off the ledge didn’t even trigger a video. So the camera appears to have difficulty detecting the mice at all, which isn’t acceptable to me given how close to the mice I placed it.Additional small complaints:Battery drains quickly. I am already down to 50% battery power on the camera after filling it with 8 freshly charged NiMh AA batteries.App is very, very slow to connect. Even when very close to the camera and connected to the same WiFi network, it takes a minimum of 2 minutes for the app to connect to the camera and be able to check if you have any footage.Overall I found this product to be underwhelming and disappointing compared to the advertised sensitivity. I get that mice aren’t huge but when it’s close enough to take up 5-10% of the camera pixels you’d think it should be able to pick it up. I will be returning this product to Amazon.
