    Tripp-Lite UPS
So far it has been working well for me. It keeps my security camera setup going for a little over 3 hours during a power outage. No issues with the batteries overheating & melting like the former APC UPS did. I like the LCD screen too.

    Honor their Word
Tripplite is awesome. I have been twice hit by lightning (Florida) and both times they have not only replaced all their devices and/or upgraded them promptly and without argument, but also sent me checks to cover all devices plugged in as per their promised insurance meaning, to date, I have been given far more than they cost. For this reason, I have everything in the house connected to their devices. Our power fluctuates, these devices handle that issue and serve as great backups when needed. The woman I worked with there Yvonne was there for the first strike, gave me her personal contact number and helped me with the second strike as well. If you are having issues, give their support a try – somewhere there hopefully are still the same great values that helped me.

    Powerful UPS
Works great, with 2 computers and dual monitors connected. The Amazon description says 7.5 minute run time, but the package says 66 minutes. I wanted the longer runtime – even if only 7.5 minutes – for the luxury of a safe and orderly saving of files and system shutdown, instead of panicking with a shorter runtime. The only problem is the display – it stays on all the time. It would be nice if the display could be turned off, it is nice to see the voltage delivered by the power company.

Starting to FAIL in 14 months — Support is practically non-existent
I have been in the computer business for years and if at all possible I have used Tripp Lite products. I mean 30 years ago I was using and recommending their line conditioner UPS systems from desktops to rack servers. I recently built a home workstation that is a beast. It’s priced out at about $7k. I wanted no other UPS than a Tripp Lite. I live in an area where there is lots of lightning and at times the power flickers (about 2 to 3 times a month in the summer). This system would trip with an audible beep and keep my computer system from going down. About 2 months ago when one of those flickers happened, the Tripp Lite emitted a constant beeps and my computer and monitors when down — hard. This is the worst thing to have happen to expensive equipment and operating systems. The Tripp Lite UPS went down too. I had to long press the power button repeatedly to get it to reset and power back on. (At these times the battery always reports a full charge.) And once I restarted my computer, all seemed to be well. Then a few days later this scenario repeated.I contacted Amazon’s support. The support person told me that the unit had a 12 month warranty and was not within a period where they could do anything for me. I replied back for them to read the HEADING on the product. It clearly says 3 year warranty. So I have waited for any response. Crickets. I’m starting to think that their warranty is a fraud. I will never recommend this product line again. When you need them, they don’t show up.

Very good product and features also but mine has a defect on the side unfortunately
I think it’s a very good product with good features also but mine has a defect on the side unfortunately. When I was measuring it to fit on an adjustable mobile CPU ctand with Wheels, I noticed the side plastic panel was bent or depressed in 1/4 “ and a sharp metal object was sticking out from it that I didn’t notice before with my apartment blackout problems for a week. The opposite side is flat and sealed so I don’t think it’s part of the design of it. It could be a possible fire hazard not knowing what it is, which might be related to the battery parts.Seeing the sharp object protruding up from the separated plastic seam is alarming and could also be an electrical hazard.I took a few pictures and video that I’m uploading as proof of the defect. So I would like a full refund for it.

    Solid build looks good
I have had one power blip since installing the USP. Work great. The unit is well built and the display has the information on it that I need. Very simple to use and replacing the batteries seem simple. I think I made the right choice. Also, I ended up contacting their service people by phone. It was a non-technical problem having to do with their account setup rejecting my PW without telling me why. The point is I was able to get to someone on their tech staff very quickly. That is a good sign if there is a problem I can actually speak to someone and get help.

    Great backup
This is a great replacement for a more expensive name brand I had.The front display is bright and readable so make sure this is also in an area you dont want lit up. Lucky for me, I was able to place this is a place that use to need a night light for no toe stubbing. This worked excellent. The power connections were nice and tight with my meter showing a consistent power even when “Tripped” Plenty of space for wire in back and not very loud when it is ON but lets you know when it is on battery.Has all the functions of others but at a better cost.Batteries look easy to replace but haven’t tried yet since it is still new.

I now have 3 of these. I have owned a couple long enough that I needed to replace the batteries. They use common batteries that I was easily able to purchase. They have been more reliable than the APC products I used to buy.

Me tocó mala suerte pienso. Después de media hora de uso le salió una chispa y mal olor.

Bought two expensive hdds recently, and already had the thrill of watching the house power go off for a few seconds without any problems for my $1000 plus in new drives. It was a worthwhile investment in preserving new expensive hardware. Sure glad I didn’t put off the expense.
