A mini-tower UPS with line interactive topology, the CyberPower Intelligent LCD provides battery backup (using simulated sine wave output) and surge protection for desktop computers, workstations, networking devices, and home entertainment systems. The BRG1500AVRLD2 uses Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) to correct minor power fluctuations without switching to battery power, which extends battery life. AVR is essential in areas where power fluctuations occur frequently. The BRG1500AVRLD2 comes with a five year warranty (including coverage of batteries) and a $500,000 Connected Equipment Guarantee.

Works as Designed
First Impression:This is a 5 star product to protect your PC, Network Devices and Audio/Visual equipment. When you plug this device into your electrical power source (utility power) there is also a protection circuit breaker on the line cord. In addition, there is also transient protection for this input circuit breaker. The max input transient voltage is somewhere around 140 volts AC with some jewel lever (transient power) to trip the input circuit breaker. If there is a transient event (short duration spike but not enough line over voltage to trip the input circuit breaker) but short enough to fire the transient protection device this will disconnect line power from the wall. When this happens, the battery is not switched ON. Your PC gets disconnected and not protected. This happened to me and I have contacted the utility company to trouble shoot or advise for a solution.

Just what my family needed
We live out in the rural area and storms oftentimes knocks out our power. We rely on our internet for streaming, remote work, entertainment and calls over wifi (because there is little to no cell coverage). When power is disrupted, we lose our ability to do any of that. I purchased this equipment to only connect our Starlink and home router to it. When we have lost power (several times recently) we were still able to continue working from home (using charged laptops) and make phone calls without disruption with plenty of time left on the CyberPower BRG1500AVRLCD2. So far we’ve had no issues and are loving it!

Great UPS solution
Since I’ve outgrown a single UPS solution, I purchased this unit to split the load with my older Tripp-Lite. If you’re looking for your first UPS, keep an eye on the supported wattage compared to what you’re currently using – this unit can handle 900W, and thankfully the display can be set to show your usage in real time. It shows that when playing a moderately graphic intensive game, my computer and monitor can easily use over 500W at times, so the computer and associated accessories (monitor, external drives, USB hub, external audio interface, etc) are on this new UPS while the older UPS handles my work laptop, modem, WiFi router, PoE switch, etc.The display contains all of the information you need, and several selectable options for viewing wattage, Hz, voltage, etc. I do wish there was a way to view several at once versus selecting one, but this seems to be the way most UPS systems do it, so it’s not a huge deal. You can also set low/high limits on voltage to configure how often the unit will switch to battery when the power is unstable (ie, during brownouts) but normally my power is pretty stable so I haven’t bothered to change that.

Have not had it long enough to rate the battery life.
Just experienced a quick off-on power failure while typing this message. Everything connected to the UPS stayed powered up. The UPS systems are worth their weight in gold! Have lost 2 computers, 1 appliance and a CCTV system by NOT having an UPS connected. Also a great Surge Protector during a lightning strike.

Small, light and convenient UPS
I have bought both Cyberpower and APC UPS’ before and between both, I like this new version that Cyberpower has better than APC. The old Cyberpower UPS I had had a big blue power button that would be lit the whole time it is on, at night it would be really bright. With this new UPS the light from the power is not bright at all, it is perfect if you keep it in a bedroom. The LCD screen is great, the USB ports are very convenient. No need to have a USB adapter next to your desk with this UPS, I use it to charge my iPhone and iPad and my USB Battery backups. The 1000VA is very small compared to the standard UPSs, I was surprised how light and small it was. The 13000VA are a lot heavier and longer but this one is a great size. Great device, great battery for when the power goes out. I usually get 70-90 mins out of it with a mac hooked up to it and various USB devices to it such as Hard Drives.

These UPS units work and last a long time
I have had CyberPower UPS units since they first came out. My first one had a lifetime warranty, and had a problem after 7 years of faithful use. I contacted CyberPower for warranty service and they replaced the unit. IN the mean time, I had been using the “most popular major brand”, and it seems like the newer the model, the shorter the lifespan. I do not own any models of that brand. I have replaced them all with CyberPower units. I have not had to replace a battery or have any of the UPS units go bad, so I am well pleased. I like the display that shows incoming line voltage, estimated run time on the battery, battery charge percentage, output voltage and frequency, and the output load in watts and volt amperes. It also shows the output watts and va’s in percentage.

solid for 8 years
product is pretty old, so just posting this for posterity, but this worked super well for 8 years, saved my work on several occasions of power outages.A few weeks ago it just shut off for no reason, no warning, no sound, just *click* off. The house did not lose power, just this unit switched itself off. Today it happened again for the 3rd time and I lost some work, so I’m biting the bullet and purchasing a replacement unit.8 years is a pretty good life, but it would have been nice to have some warning or maybe some way to replace the battery itself. Prices went up about 40% in those 8 years, so that’s not great.Still, overall I’ve been pretty happy with this unit and will be replacing with the same brand, similar size.

Seems good to me.
The power backup is doing the job so far, I’m currently using it for my fiber optic modem and router and monitor.

Bought this to run my 3D printer during storm season when we lose power. Never had a power outage while i was printing but I did test it a few times by unplugging it and my printer always kept chugging away. This shows it will allow my printer to run for about 45-60 minutes which is more than enough to get through most little storm outages that we deal with in central AB

Got this to power the internet hub and security dvr when power goes down. Ended up powering that plus my gaming pc with no issues for at least 45 minutes. would stay on for hours if the gaming pc is off. allows for automatic shutdown of the computer once it hits a specific time remaining you can set. Great product. If you ever need replacement batteries go see a battery vendor in your town not a box store, so cheap.
