Best GaN charger I’ve used
I’ve bought a number of GaN chargers and this is one of my favorites. It’s very well made and clearly a lot of thought has been put into the design. It’s the one I always travel with, and I like it so much a bought a second to keep for use at my parents’ house when I visit.Here’s what I think:The aluminum body feels very solid, and yet it isn’t heavy, making it ideal for travel. Build quality is VERY good and there are zero visual defects (scratches or issues with the plating).It has 5 USB-C and 2 USB-A (old style) ports. I think this is exactly the right mix for a charger this size. Most products made in the last few years have transitioned from USB-A to USB-C, so there needs to be some legacy support for the older standard, but more and more products use the newer USB-C connectors. The balance between the two feels just right.It supports two high power (65 watt) devices on the C1 and C2 ports. This is important as these are high powered enough to charge and operate many laptops. (Check your laptop’s power rating to confirm.)The design was very much done with the users in mind. The markings on the ports are very easy to read, and you can see the unique bright orange contacts on the C1 and C2 high power ports, and on the USB-A ports. The high power USB-C1, USB-C2 ports are even marked with a symbol for a laptop, confirming to the user that these are the connectors for that usage. (Additional power spec information on all ports is printed on the back.)I work in the product quality field, and I know that when a company puts this much thought and effort into the design and manufacturing quality of a product, they are doing things right. I very highly recommend this charger.
