This WYZE Solar Cam Pan truly exceeded my expectations!First off, installation was super easy — no wiring needed at all. Just mount it and connect the solar panel, and it’s ready to go. I was able to cover areas that were impossible to reach before, which makes it really convenient.The 2K HD video quality is excellent. Details are sharp enough to recognize faces and even license plates during the day. At night, the color night vision looks great — much better than the usual black-and-white night view.The 360° pan and tilt is my favorite part — you can literally see every corner with no blind spots. From the app, I can rotate the camera anywhere I want. Combined with the AI motion detection and auto-tracking, it automatically follows people or movement smoothly. One big paywall.
Seemingly included features are hidden behind an unannounced paywall. You don’t see this information until the setup process. I can’t get the spot light to work either, not sure if that’s in the paywall too or not. To get more than a 12 second video or to have less than 1 minute ‘cool down time’ you have to subscribe to their premium rates that range from $3 a month or $20 a year up to $26 a month or $260 a year to be able to have more than a 12 second video. This isn’t made clear on the listing or description of this item, and is false advertisement of included features. It also fldoes not record constantly, just the 12 second snippets, and if something happens after that 12 seconds and before the “1 minute cool down” passes you miss it.

Great solar-powered camera!
This is by far my favorite camera from Wyze! This camera is truly maintenance-free. I’ve been using it for about 3 weeks to monitor my backyard area, and the battery level is still above 97% with the attached solar panel, very impressive! I should never need to worry about the battery life for it. The installation is a breeze, super easy, and took me 5 minutes. The image quality is great, and the connection speed is fast. I love the feature that I can pan the camera, and it follows me when I walk around. It’s truly peace of mind. The build quality is very solid, and the price is good. I will see how the solar charging performs over the winter in the PNW area. Happy about this purchase.

Easy setup. Great picture. Motion tracking is great.
Great cameras, mak sure you have available south facing sunlight at a 30° angle. If not purchase an aftermarket WYZE compatible solar pannel extension arm. The panel mount is small. Plenty of extra cable for the panel to camera. Read description on the Amazon page.Battery last a long time. Solar pannel will charg a few percent even in the rain. Full charge in about 2 hours on a sunny day. Longer in winter. FYI. SOLAR PANNELS are more efficient when cold. Cloudy Winter time!! Needs extension cable to AC for 24/7 recording. Great picture both color and night vision. Love them.
