Fantastic replacement after our old camera died
Our old outdoor security camera had died, and when the hub and I saw this one, we decided to try it — and it’s been fantastic. The wide coverage makes a big difference, and it feels like we can see everything around the side of the house without blind spots. The picture quality is clear during the day and still very easy to see at night, which was important for us. Motion alerts have been accurate so far, and it tracks movement smoothly instead of missing activity or sending constant false notifications. Setup was straightforward, and connecting it to our WiFi didn’t take long at all. We also like being able to check in from our phones and talk through it if needed. For the money, this has been a solid upgrade that gives us much better coverage and peace of mind than our old camera.

An OK camera … 3 separate cameras in one
The camera is not as functional as it is astatically pleasing.Some things you should know:1) The power cord is only about 8 inch long from the power supply so i had to run an extension cord all the way to it temporarily because the power supply extension cable is sold separately.2) The power cord has no weather protection boot to keep water out although the RJ45 connection will supply POE so the power cord and supply wont be necessary in that case and it IS water proofed with a gland nut that is supplied for the Ethernet cable however if you are not using the RJ45 connection there will be a small hole that water can still get into so i put a small screw in it to keep it sealed3) The power supply is not water proof but if mounted upright it will keep rain out but not moisture.4) The camera build quality seems ok and supplied hardware feels a bit cheap but will get the job done.5) The app you have to use with it is not very intuitive and clearly a cheap Chinese app with some misspelling on a couple English words6) The top 2 cameras are not meshed together into a nice panorama view so it is literally just 2 stationary cameras and one PT cam with digital zoom7) Its fairly easy to set up and install honestly8) The camera mounts can be installed in any direction it appears with 2 distinct mounting locations on the same plastic frame so from an overhang or wall mount.9) Video quality is ok, not too bad, not exceedingly great.In conclusion it is not too bad for a budget camera.

The idea behind this system is brilliant: a fixed camera plus a pan/tilt camera is a great idea for covering wide and specific areas simultaneously. The installation was easy enough, and the image quality is sufficient for security purposes. The best functional feature is that no cloud storage is required, which is a huge pro for privacy and avoiding monthly fees. Sensor recording also works well when you can actually get the app to work.And that’s the central problem: The app is not great. It crashes frequently and often leaves the cameras showing offline, even when the network is fine. It makes checking your feed an unreliable chore.*Tested on Google Pixel 10 pro, latest app and Android firmware. Your experience may be different on a different device or OS.Another major drawback is the power requirement. It uses 12V power, which makes installation much more limited. Other cameras running off 5V are much more practical, allowing you to power them from things like solar panels or simpler runs. This system is definitely more of a “close to the house and run a cable” type setup, which limits its versatility.The system does what it’s supposed to do in terms of hardware, but the unstable app and the restrictive 12V power mean that for a security system, it falls short on reliability and convenience.
