Loving it so far.
So far I’ve used it twice and it’s been great.I have a thermarest from the military that I’ve used for years and it’s held up great but I wanted something thicker now that I’m in my mid 40’s and after reading the reviews I made the decision to go with this one.I have an issue with the cold and the fact that this feels like it heats up because of how it holds body heat is amazing to me.It doesn’t get overly hot or cause over heating, it just retains your own body heat and doesn’t allow the air inside to become cold like a lot of pads and air mattresses do.If I had to give it one negative it’s that it isn’t offered in a non-tapered style which I would prefer but the tapered offers the ability to easily hang your legs off of the side which feels better on my lower back, which has nothing to do with the design of the pad I just have lower back pain.Instead of using its inflatable bag I bought a flextail pump for it so that I wouldn’t have to worry about molding this inside by blowing directly into it.So far I would 100% recommend this pad if you like your comfort and to remain warm.

Great pad, some crinkle noise
I’ve used this about ten times now. It’s lightweight and packs down to a reasonable size considering how big it is. Never had a problem with air leaking out, at least not enough to have to pumped back up in the night. It’s pretty durable if you use it normally and don’t abuse it. You can air it up to where it’s very solid feeling or let a little air out to make it softer. I generally put as much air in as I can. It’s worth what I paid since I’m confident it will last for a long time. Never had any issues with Thermarest’s. It does make the weird crinkle sound when you move around. I notice it more when I first lay down. Not so bad once I’m down for the night.

Worth it
I’ve had a good number of sleep pads and I could have saved money from their failures buying this instead. Having gotten familiar with the points of weaknesses with those pads, I’m relieved to own this pad. They must have gone to great lengths in it’s creation.I did try the wide version but even with relatively wide shoulders and hips, it was more than I needed. I have gotten so used to minimalist sleep systems that the regular size is plenty. What I find interesting is how when I roll towards the edges, the pad doesn’t pinch down, but instead is sort of pressing back, helping me to stay on. Cheap pads would pinch under pressure and slide away. I also notice when deflating the pad it doesn’t feel like I might break the valve. I wondered if the materials on the inside might get damaged from rolling up the pad but it doesn’t feel fragile under regular usage. I haven’t checked but I’m going to guess they are backing their quality work with a decent warranty.The selling points made and points of many reviewers are all true as far as pack size, r-value, nylon quality, how to use.I would say that it could be tied down to smaller than the size of a one liter bottle but that’s just to say that in it’s stuff sack it’s not solid and has some give to be able to fit around other items in a pack.I’m just short of 200lbs and I’m not bottoming out during regular use cases. I can hear the sound but it’s a light ruffling and will not be much louder than any sounds of nylon rubbing against nylon.I go ultralight with as many items as possible–even going so far as sewing my own tent and backpack–and the weight and size is well worth the utility. It’s also very comfortable sounder most circumstances I’m sure to capture some rest and be more ready for the challenges of the next day.It would have been great to have had this on certain trips when I was just inside the line of safety. I believe this will last me several years and with all things considered, the cost makes perfect sense.

Honestly the wide version is small, but that’s probably what you get when you go super light. Nice and warm though.

Super light and yet retains body heat
I’m an ultra lightweight backpacker – no extra weight AT ALL for me – and yet sleep quite cold, even on nights in the 50’s. Finding this mattress is such a blessing. When it got down into the 30’s my first night out with it, I stayed warmer than ever before! Those baffles really do work!! And I overcome any noise issues with my usual earplugs and a lightweight fleece blanket between mattress and tent floor.

Leaks
I have purchased several of these, and they ALL had a slow but persistent leak. It would stay inflated for several hours, and then completely deflate, leaving you cold in the middle of the night, laying on a flat pad. After purchasing several of these, for full asking price, it seems ridiculous that a product this expensive can have such a major, frequent, flaw.

Whilst expensive this is a solid buy, you have to use the supplied sack to blow this up with otherwise you get mould inside (I’ve been there unfortunately with an earlier model). This folds down so small and has been used to sleep on glaciers in comfort.
