Makes Late-Night Coding So Much Easier

Functional, cheap, easy to assemble and decent-looking. What’s not to love?
This is easy to assemble, functional, looks OK, and of course, cheap. The clamp-on version is perfect for that dim cube at work. It even lets you pick what kind of light you want (yellowish, bluish, neutral). That said, it swings out of alignment easily, and if you slam a door, you might turn on/off your lamp. But for $20, it’s perfect.

This lamp does its job fairly well. It is very bright and comes with 3 modes depending on the time of day you need. The sensor to use the light are great it reads my touches. It is very sturdy but will bend fairly well. It is on a cheaper deal, but for what it’s worth, I would say it is a great starting one. The size is a bit much, but can be worked around.

Great Monitor Bar /Desk Lamp. Better than Monitor bar.
This is a great option for a monitor bar/desk lamp. I believe if anything this is much BETTER than a monitor bar for a few reasions.Placement : A monitor bar can only be placed on the monitor. this can lead to a couple of issues on a regular monitor bar. If you have a large monitor/low seating, then your the top of the monitor will be above your line of sight. in this placement its possible that the monitor bar light can be directly shine in your eyes which makes is very distracting. You can tilt the light further into the monitor to avoid this direct shine but then you start cutting off the amount of light coming onto the desk. This desk lamp is great because it opens up a lot of possibilities for placement. You can place the light in the center of the desk, arching over, and then have it tilted back, which leads ot even lighting of the desk and also no light shining in to your eyes or shining onto the monitor.2. Controls: the controls are placed in front therefore its very easy to press on them and while you dont need to press hard at all (its touch control which works every time, you can place fingers behind the bar for a firm press without shaking the bar. Also the buttons have a very tiny blue light to find the buttons in the dark, but not bright enough to be distracting when the light is off. The controls are also thought out correctly in terms of priority (i think) the buttons make it quick to turn of an off, or change color. Press and hold makes the light go dim or bright. (something I don’t do too often). I also like it the press and hold only goes dim or goes bright in one direction. (meaning once its goes bright, it goes bright to the max and then stops, it does not cycle between bright and dark) and takes a second press and hold to go in the opposite direction. That way you KNOW you are at the brightest or dimmest setting instead of trying to catch that min/max by holding the button for just the exact amount.The goose neck is sturdy enough that it stays in place, and the wiring is done such that its hidden.I would def recommend this product. The frame is is also kind of “soft touch”/rubber coated, and not just some bare metal which would instantly scratch.

Low cost ambient lighting!
This thing is great! I had one that sat on top of the monitor originally, but was causing some discoloration due to pressure.This mounted nicely on the desk and created some nice ambient lighting for my setup.Only complaint is the sturdiness can be a lil wobbly, but that comes with anything tall like that.The brightness control is great and the touch sensors are accurate.
