Phenomenal Clarity, Deep Bass
The Sonos Era 300 is simply outstanding. Setup was quick and seamless through the Sonos app, and Alexa integration works flawlessly for voice control. The build quality is premium, and the matte black finish gives it a sleek, understated look that fits beautifully into any space.Whether used alone or as part of a Sonos surround setup, the Era 300 delivers rich, room-filling audio with impressive depth and precision.

Sonos is amazing!
I bought a sonos arc ultra soundbar, a sonos subwoofer gen 4, and 2 sonos era 300 speakers for rear channel in our family room home theater. We use them with a 83″ LG OLED C5 TV. Also for playing music without the the TV over a streaming app. It’s incredible. The simplicity and audio quality are amazing. We used to always watch TV at night. But now with our Sonos setup, we will spend evenings with the TV off and listen to the amazing audio provided by Sonos. I’ve tried a variety of speaker systems o er the years… but this is my favorite setup. It’s not cheap… but the quality and experience is amazing. If you want a high quality home theater system… get the same speakers I purchased.

A Life Improvement!
I upgraded our Sonos Arc system, (which had consisted of Arc, Sub, and a pair of Sonos Ones), to Arc, Sub and a pair of Era 300s. Once I got everything set up perfectly the sound is nothing short of otherworldly! Even on a low volume setting the sound just seems to come out of the atmosphere. That said, the set up was not as straightforward as one might expect. The directions are not easy to find for every situation. First you need to decide whether you want to set it up ultimately as a surround system, or put the emphasis on stereo music. Though you can switch back and forth, it’s somewhat complicated to do so. I tried it out both ways and settled for the surround mode and the music is still spectacular. I did ultimately call the Sonos help line to help me set things up so that my existing remote controls worked with the system rather than just the Sonos app. I got through to a rep in less than 5 minutes and he patiently walked me through the needed changes. One last complication I ran into after the helpline call: I performed the Sonos Trueplay procedure repeatedly and it kept saying something went wrong and to try again.Get this: I wear hearing aids and they were interfering with the Bluetooth setup. I turned off both my hearing aids and the Bluetooth on my iPad and Trueplay immediately did its thing. Then I turned my hearing aids and iPad back on, and everything worked as it should. From classical, to rock,to jazz, to Bluegrass the music is sensational! So, now the music is sensational, the TV surround is fantastic, and speech is more clear than it has ever been. We invested a fair amount of dough, but this now truly is a case of quality isn’t expensive, it’s priceless, as even my wife, who thought I was nuts to spend this much ,is absolutely thrilled with the end result. If Mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy, and Mama’s happy.

Their software is the worst I’ve ever seen (connectivity issues)
I’ve used many products over the years that combine hardware and software, and Sonos is just tragic. Their hardware is excellent. Sound quality, and specifically the ability to fill a room with sound from a single, small, unobtrusive speaker like this one is excellent….when it works. However, if the software to talk to it, set it up, and use it day-to-day is garbage, then it makes all that excellent hardware useless. Sadly, this is the case with Sonos. The main problem is it just loses connectivity and stops playing for no reason. No problem you say, just restart the app. Nope. It won’t connect to the speaker. OK, then just reset the speaker. Two issues: First, that’s a 50/50 roll of the dice. Sometimes it reconnects, other times, it just refuses. You now have an expensive brick until it decides to reconnect. Second, I had the speaker up on a high shelf in a room with a 20ft ceiling, so it was up about 8ft. Resetting the speaker meant getting a ladder! Every….single….day.This just should not be….ever. I called Sonos, I wrote to Sonos, I filed service tickets with Sonos. Nothing. Zip. Nada. They couldn’t be bothered to even respond, let alone help solve the problem.Do an internet search folks. Mine is not a unique experience. Many people have reported the same exact issue. And don’t let the review stuffers on Amazon fool you. Do your research so you don’t end up with an unusable brick.

I recently picked up two Sonos Era 300s to pair with my Sonos Arc, and I’m super impressed. The Era 300s add a whole new level of depth and spatial audio, especially when watching Dolby Atmos content. Movies and music feel incredibly immersive – it’s like being in the middle of the action.Setup was easy, and everything syncs flawlessly through the Sonos app. The Era 300s really shine as rear surrounds – clear highs, wide soundstage, and great imaging. That said, I highly recommend adding the Sonos Sub to complete the experience. While the Arc has decent low end, once you hear it with the Sub, there’s no going back. The bass really fills the room and ties everything together. If you’re building a premium home theater setup with Sonos, this combo (Arc + 2x Era 300 + Sub) is the way to go!
