Accurate, easy to read, records data
This oximeter has a very clear digital display showing both pulse and oxygen concentrations. It also records them so you can look back to see any major changes. Handy and easy to use with a lanyard if you need it around your neck.

This Mommed Pulse Oximeter seems to work pretty well. I tested it against another one we have, and while the two measured slightly different results, they were in the ballpark. In other words, my numbers were consistently higher on both, and my family member’s were consistently lower.Blood oxygen is something that is measured every time I take my family member to his monthly doctor’s appointments. He has some serious health problems, and has had to have some trips to the ER over the past few years. When I call the doctors on call, I always give them his temperature, blood pressure, and blood oxygen levels as a way of helping them determine whether or not we need to come in for an appointment, head to the ER, or monitor at home.It’s interesting to me that this company clearly states this model is intended for aviation and sports only,not medical use. I imagine that it has to do with liability.This oximeter gave readings in 5-9 seconds. The display is easy to read and colorful. He oximeter is lightweight and easy to transport. The hardest part about getting it going for the first time was putting in the batteries correctly (user error) and attaching the lanyard. Hint: poke in the ends into the front of the oximeter and pull out from the hole on the top. I used a paperclip to grab the loop.This device apparently has a menu so that you can set up an alarm and a way for it to keep track of your readings for a few days. It’s all in the included manual, but I wasn’t interested in those functions, so didn’t test them.Check for coupon before ordering!

Works well for my husband where others have failed.
I have gotten several pulse oximeters recently for the family. Unfortunately, while I have found one that works well for me, and one that fits my young son, my husband hadn’t found one that could read his clubbed fingertips easily. They all, so far, have had issues. They show no heart rate readout and eventually time out and shut down without giving any metrics.However, this version from MomMed works on him without any issues. This one can read through his thicker/larger fingertips and give results as quickly as it does for me. It also opens up a bit more than the others, so it is easier to accommodate him. The results this pulse oximeter gives also seems consistent with his typical doctor’s office readings within 1% SpO2.Just to double check accuracy, I tested this one against the other two non-medical pulse oximeters we have, and they all gave identical readouts, with expected fluctuation in heart rate. I also tested this one against the older medical pulse oximeter we own, and it was reading within a 1% difference for the SpO2 readings.This pulse oximeter has a very bright and easy to see screen readout. It’s also fairly easy to use. Short press power to turn on and use it, long press to access the menu. Once in the menu, short press to scroll through options and long press to select them.This pulse oximeter shows several metric estimates on its screen. Estimated oxygen saturation (SpO2), estimated pulse rate (PRbpm), estimated perfusion index (PI%), and a heart rate graph at the side. It also shows the estimated beats of the heart on a little flickering heart graphic and the battery estimate, so you know when you need to change the batteries out for more accurate readings. It’s capable of remembering the last 5 readings for pulse rate and O2 saturation if you set this feature in the menu settings.Included in this set is the pulse oximeter, 2 AAA batteries, an instruction booklet, and a lanyard to help keep it handy while exercising.While this pulse oximeter isn’t rechargeable, it runs on 2 easily to obtainable AAA batteries. I do miss the ease of rechargeablity like the other pulse oximeters we own. However, these replaceable batteries also mean I won’t have to worry about this device failing to charge and eventually becoming useless, like the others will over time.The only real complaint I have is the fact that this pulse oximeter’s screen readout is stuck in one configuration. While my other pulse oximeters can have their readouts changed to face different directions for easier reading in different situations, this one just stays horizontal and is only easy to read while using my right hand. If someone needs to use the left hand for some reason, it faces away and is upside down to the person using it. I haven’t found a way to flip the readout on this device like I can with the other ones.Despite this readout issue, I am still happy we have found a pulse oximeter that can accommodate my husband, and that is working well for him.

This is an oximeter machine. It’s small, but it’s easy to use. Just stick your finger in and it reads your pulse and oxygen pretty quickly and seemingly accurately, although. I do not see where it was tested at for accuracy. All I see is you’ll “Get precise SPO2 (blood oxygen saturation) and pulse rate readings in 6-8 seconds,” and that it is “…Built with advanced sensor technology for consistent performance and dependable results.” however, without any lab or gauge testing to verify the accuracy of these assertions they are mere untested claims. The product page says it is for “…sport and aviation use only and not for medical use.” I am not sure what they mean by aviation use? But the display is bright and clear and easy to read. But the print in the instruction manual is tiny and very hard to read. This comes with a lanyard and runs on 2 AAA batteries (included). The price seems reasonable compared to similar products ($18.99 at the time of this review).

Works great for my mom arthritic and swollen fingers.
Works well. Easy to read. Haven’t had to change the battery yet. My mother has very crooked fingers from rheumatoid arthritis and we have had trouble with some pulsox not reading her finger. This one works 98% of the time, the first time. When her fingers are very swollen we have to switch fingers, but I don’t think this is the fault of the device. This monitor works much better than the others we have tried.

Ditta molto seria, dopo una mia valutazione del prodotto, che era risultato difettoso e dava misurazioni sballate, non ho richiesto sostituzione ne’ rimborso perché avevo buttato l’involucro. Dopo pochi giorni sono stato contattato per email dalla ditta Mommed che mi avvertiva di avermi inviato un nuovo Oximeter senza obbligo di reso del vecchio. Prezzo secondo me corretto e la qualità percepita ottima. Le funzioni base sono immediatamente disponibili, poi ci sono altre funzioni che io non mi sono avventurato a sviscerare. E’ oltretutto comodo perché lo spegnimento è automatico; basta non utilizzarlo per poco tempo e il software spegne lo schermo e lo stand-by. Il consumo batteria mi sembra irrisorio. Il prodotto è consegnato con un utile laccetto. Soddisfatto.
