Simple installation and use. Amazing product
The thermostat looks amazing and the installation was super simple. After getting all the wires in, it connected to the internet super easy and was added to the Meross app and my Apple Home app. I can control the temperature from anywhere, set up schedules, and share control with my roommates. It was compatible with my system, and runs great.

A Simple, Reliable Thermostat Without the Gimmicks
Installed it a few days ago and it’s been solid. I’ve avoided Wi-Fi thermostats for years, but this one felt worth trying. It’s not a “smart” or “learning” model, which is exactly what I wanted. Once it’s online, you set a schedule and it just runs.Setup was straightforward. The app walks you through it step by step. You do need a basic sense of your HVAC wiring, but nothing complicated. It looks good on the wall and the included backer plate covered the old screw holes.Getting it onto my Wi-Fi took a couple attempts, but that was my firewall, not the thermostat. Once I fixed the network rules, it connected without any issues. The app itself is simple to use. I also added it to Apple Home with the Matter QR code, which gives you the basics inside Apple’s interface. The advanced controls are a nice bonus. You can fine-tune how stages 1, 2, and aux heat behave, and you can set a temperature cutoff for the heat pump. The defaults are fine, but it’s great to have the extra control if you want it.Overall, I’m happy with it. No learning features, no surprises — I set the temps I want and let it run.

Seamless Integration with Home Assistant and Meross Ecosystem! Perfect Thermostat for Any Home!
Installed the Meross Smart Thermostat earlier this week, and setup was incredibly easy and it connected to Home Assistant very easily and integrated perfectly with my Meross smart light switches in their app. The design is clean and modern, temperature control is accurate, and the app makes scheduling simple. It responds instantly to adjustments from my phone or voice commands, and everything just works seamlessly together. For the price, it’s an excellent smart thermostat that fits right into an existing Meross ecosystem or really any matter comparable ecosystem!

Looks good and works as advertised.
It looks has been working great since I installed it a few months ago. Install was easy and the instructions are detailed along with tutorials in the app. Since it’s using matter for the smart home communication I can use it with any smart home matter compatible hub.It works good, the app gives you a lot of options from daily and weekly scheduling. It’s also configurable for your heating system from minimum compressor run time, the delayed compressor cool down to much more. Basically any setting you need to make it compatible with your current heating and cooling system. It also shows the humidity in the house.

Has all the bells and whistles you see on a Ecobee / Nest
This is a good basic smart thermostat. What I like:1) It has Matter. Easy to integrate into Homekit and Home Assistant2) Gives you multiple schedules to enable by day and time.3) I like the Meross app. It has a good design and is easy to adjust the temperature.4) it has a usage dashboard that displays the time the system was on heating and cooling. I’m a bit of a data junky so I like seeing the amount of time the system is on. You can use the date to predict your heating and cooling cost for the month.5) I like the added backplate bezzel. Looks good and covers some of the imprefections (like the screw holes from my prior thermostat). What I didn’t like that much:1) installing was easy but the back plate where the wires are routed are small. It was a bit troublesome but not a deal breaker.2) The display is basic but easy to navigate, I just wish it could be brighter. I changed the settings to the brightest settings on active and standby but I think brighter would be better.Overall, it’s a good purchase and I’ll be keeping it.

Affordable, high-quality smart thermostat.
If you’re looking for an affordable smart thermostat that offers premium smart home functionality, simple installation, broad smart home compatibility, and a lot of in-app features, then look no further than this Meross Smart Wi-Fi Thermostat. Installation and setup was a breeze. There’s a backplate included in the box. The step-by-setup instructions in the Meross app will guide you through the correct wire placement for your specific HVAC system. You’ll need to know some basics about your system, but nothing too technical. If you are unsure about something, Meross customer support is great. They are always quick to respond and will help guide you through any questions you have. Works flawlessly with my Google Home ecosystem, and I can control the thermostat from anywhere using my phone or even my voice. The Meross app is feature rich and gives you the ability to really fine-tune how your system operates. You don’t have to pay a monthly subscription to access certain features. It’s all available for free with the Meross app. The display doesn’t require additional batteries and it’s large size makes for easy reading from a distance, or at a glance when you’re walking by it.

I am absolutely thrilled with my purchase of the Meross Smart Thermostat. From installation to daily use, this device has exceeded all my expectations, making it one of the best smart home upgrades I’ve made this year.Effortless Installation & Setup:The process of setting up the Meross was incredibly straightforward. The instructions were clear, and I had the old thermostat swapped out and the Meross unit installed in under 20 minutes. Connecting it to my home Wi-Fi and the Meross app was quick and painless.Simple and Effective Operation:The physical design is sleek and modern, and the interface is intuitive to use right on the wall. However, the real magic is in the app. Being able to effortlessly set schedules, adjust the temperature remotely, or just check the current status from anywhere is a game-changer. The thermostat is highly accurate and maintains the set temperature perfectly.Reliability is Key:I’ve been using this for several weeks now, and I haven’t experienced a single glitch, drop in connectivity, or scheduling error. It just works—easily and effectively—every single time.If you are looking for a reliable, easy-to-use smart thermostat that provides excellent value without unnecessary complications, look no further. Highly, highly recommend the Meross!

I upgraded from an old, programmable thermostat to this Meross model, and it’s been a fantastic decision. The installation was straightforward, but be aware that you *do* need a C-wire for it to power on. If you have one, it’s a 15-minute job.The setup through the Meross app was incredibly simple, and it connected to my Wi-Fi without any issues. I love that it works with Matter, as I’m trying to make my smart home more universal. It linked up perfectly with my Apple HomeKit, and controlling it with Siri on my phone or through my HomePod works flawlessly. The app itself is very intuitive. I set up a 7-day schedule in minutes to heat the house before I wake up and lower the temperature while I’m at work. It already feels like we’re saving energy. The geofencing feature is a nice touch, as it can automatically adjust the temperature when I leave or come home. For the price, the number of features you get is outstanding. It looks sleek on the wall, the display is clear, and the responsiveness is great. If you’re looking to make your home smarter without spending a fortune, this is the thermostat to buy. Highly recommended.

Context & 1-Month UpdateI’ve been running this thermostat for over a month now. I originally bought it because I refused to pay a monthly subscription just to use full features on a device I own.Update: After 30 days, it has been rock solid. No Wi-Fi drops, no missed schedules. But the real value is how it integrates with a wider smart home. Local LAN control, if you use Home Assistant (HA), is also very easy via the Meross LAN integration. This means you don’t have to dependent on their cloud and you can control this thermostat locally. If the Meross cloud servers go down (or my internet cuts out), my automations still run perfectly because the control is local to my network. Remote Access: Because I run HA, I can control my heat from anywhere in the world either with Home Assistant or Meross app.Advanced Automation (Virtual Zoning)The Problem: Big brands (like Ecobee) want you to buy expensive proprietary sensors to balance the temperature in different rooms (e.g., a cold bedroom vs. a warm hallway). Since Meross integrates so well into HA, I set up “Stratified Controls.” I use cheap Zigbee temperature sensors from AliExpress) in different parts of my house to where I can have the thermostat run at a high temp until the zone I want gets to the target temperature. For example, after 10pm if my bedroom < 20°C, turn on Meross Thermostat." The thermostat acts as the engine, but the cheap sensor acts as the brain. I get multi-room climate control for a fraction of the cost of a closed ecosystem but after 8am I just use the temperature on the main floor since people are generally downstairs. The "Planned Obsolescence" FactorA friend of mine is currently being forced to replace his expensive Google Nest setup because they are retiring support for older APIs and hardware. Because the Meross works with standard protocols (HomeKit/Matter/LAN), it is much harder for the manufacturer to "brick" it remotely. That gives me more peace of mind.Installation RecapMy older home didn't have a C-Wire. The seperate c-wire adapter worked perfectly and took about 10 minutes to install at the furnace. I don't fan the loss of discrete fan control (one of the things you lose with this wire) a big deal.Bottom LineIf you just want a thermostat that works with Alexa/Siri, this is great. But if you are a "Power User" with Home Assistant, this is the best value on the market. It gives you the freedom to build complex climate rules (like virtual zoning) without locking you into a subscription or an expensive proprietary ecosystem.

This little guy really exceeded my expectations. It offers a right balance between functions and cost. I always want a Wi-Fi thermostat that I can control temperature with my phone, especially in those cold early mornings without leaving bed or when you don’t want to go downstairs to press the button. But I don’t want to pay couple hundred dollars for that. I had good experience with Meross garage door opener, so I want to give this a try. The installation is super easy, it took me 15 mins to replace my old thermostat. I only use it for the furnace to control heat, but it works with different kinds of setups to control both heat and cooling. I like the sleek and simple design, and you can turn off other icons and only show the temperature. The app is plain vanilla and has all the necessary functions, even usage monitoring, and it’s matter compatible so I can use either the app or Alexa to control it. Overall I’m very satisfied with it, I think this is the best option in this price range.

An excellent durable product, the folks at Meross really put a lot of thought into the product (This can be configured for a conventional furnace or a heat pump). It has a very nice minimalist design with an included back-plate to cover a electrical box if required. The wiring harness with pushpin friction connectors for the wires has a built in level, making the physical installation a breeze. The included documentation will make the install easy and the software guide from the application makes it even easier with clear directions, that breaks the down the steps into very small bites. Configuring the thermostat is really easy as well, with an innovative design that includes; a schedule that can be broken down into 15 minute increments with a seven programmable days, you can add additional temperature sensors to balance home temp, link it with google/amazon, usage logs with the option to add bill calculation based on usage and a furnace filter reminder. It only lacks an “occupancy/away from home” feature, you can manually lock the temp but lacks the geofence option of the Honeywell T10. However, if the folks at Meross can add that feature… this product will indicate the end of overpriced thermostats. My only complaint is screw length for mounting the wiring harness, they are too short if you are mounting this to a stud behind drywall. Otherwise it is a must buy for any homeowner who doesn’t care about a geofence feature.
