Good Quality
This is a nicely designed power strip regardless of what level of safety you would consider the IPX6 rating to mean for it. The cable management, mounting screws, covered switch and lay flat plug are good designs. The slightly wider receptacle spacing allows for smaller wall plugs to fit side by side. Now to the more controversial claims and that is the IPX6 rating. “ingress Protection” at a level 6 protects against hard water sprays for at least 3 minutes. That would protect it from heavy rain and splashing. It is not 7 rated which would allow submersion to 3 feet. So really what does this mean for this unit? Well in clean fresh water with low mineral content it could handle the low conductivity of the water and allow it to pass thru the open receptacles and drain out the perforated bottom drain holes. With the internal design not having any “cups” or pockets that hold water it should drain out and dry. It would also take highly conductive water like salt water to short between the hot and neutral or ground prongs which are about a 1/2″ apart. So could the power strip handle splashing and keep on working? Yes. Should you be using it in the middle of your lawn while watering the grass? No. Definitely not. I would just think of it as more resistant to moisture and an accidental splash. It is still best to have it on a GFCI protected circuit when used in a wet location. This is a good choice for any out doors environment, but do keep it covered from rain and water and practice safety precautions as usual.

Great for indoors or outdoors
This is a heavy duty power strip that has multiple functions.Pros:- It delivers consistent and good power.- It is waterproof and the switch is in a protective case.- I absolutely love that this can be wall mounted.- The strip and the cord are made of very high quality materials and seem so durable over time.- It has 6 regular outlets for you to use. Unfortunately it does not have any other ports, but I don’t think that is a big deal since most people have a million power blocks.- It is a little higher on the cost side, but it is well worth it for the quality.Cons:- This one does not bother me, but it might bother others. Because it is so heavy duty, it is fairly bulky and heavy. I see this could be a pro or con depending on your preferences.Overall, a great choice for a power strip. You can definitely use it indoors, but it really shines outdoors with its features.

Good outdoor surge protector, but still keep it sheltered
I am testing using this on outdoor Christmas lights and it actually works quite well. I generally don’t trust water and electricity and have multiple full covers but looking at this and its claims, as well as how it locks in outlets when plugged (you hear a solid click and engagement) made me decided to test this. It is mounted on its side (so less direct impact than if facing “up” on the outlets) but otherwise exposed to rain and today snow for the first time. It is so far holding up well with no buzzing (still on a GFCI outlet as backup) so fingers crossed.My biggest pain point is the angled plug. It “barely” fits into my oversized in-use cover on the outlet but with a fair bit of tension so I may not leave it in this configuration regularly. Beyond that, its a solid good product that is fairly heavy, but no ramdon extras like USB ports. Surge protection is a also a bit unknown on it (no lightning to cause a surge ;)) but hoping that works as well in light of the newer smart lights outside.Overall, it does exactly what it claims and I just wish it didn’t have the angled plug (which I usually love on indoor systems)

Worth the money for peace of mind
I needed a power strip for our front porch that is covered but does get wet occasionally. While this one is more expensive than a standard power strip it definitely has the features and functions needed to handle the weather safely. It’s hefty for a power strip, but that’s because it has a nice metal case and is obviously well built. Six outlets is plenty for my power and device needs on the porch. It comes with mounting screws which is helpful I recommend mounting it off the ground. The fact that water flows through it is fantastic, but I don’t feel comfortable having that be a regular occurrence.The plug is a low profile plug which can be helpful or a pain depending on your outlet setup.

Very nice and capable power strip, especially for outdoor / weather use
The listing is pretty awesome about pouring water on it but I’m too scared for that. 🙂 I do love it for outdoor / crawlspace use where there may be humidity, a very occasional unintended water spray of a sprinkler, and just a heavy duty metal well mounted power strip. Individual manual control per plug is great as well for vampire loads. The printed text is designed for the pin up version of mounting which isn’t the common way in the US but doesn’t affect anything ref readability / use in resetting.

A really well made power strip!
If face value, this is a good quality power strip that seems sturdy and well made. But I have to point out there’s one feature that I especially love! Normally the only way to hang these power strips on the wall is by using hidden keyhole screws on the back, may challenging by the fact that it’s nearly impossible to line the screws up perfectly with the holes on the back. This power strip, by contrast, has exposed fasting points on both ends that make it easy to simply hold it up and screw it to the wall. That’s a huge win in my book!
