    BLEW OUT
My busy season ended April 30th and with my computer crashing I 1st installed this backup two days ago. Yesterday I went onto my computer and a very loud sound began giving me a headache. This backup failed. It’s to late to get a refund so I am stuck with this expensive backup generator. I would not recommend this product.

    Surge protector didn’t work.
The surge protector didn’t work. The unit still works but the one thing I had plugged into it was “zapped” during a surge. I have a support call into that items company to see if it’ll fall under their warranty.

Won’t connect to my windows 10 pc
I am very disappointed with this purchase. It is non-returnable, too. I have connected this UPS and downloaded and deleted the APC PowerChute Serial Shutdown software a number of times to no avail. My pc will bot recognize the UPS using the supplied USB A to USB B provided cord. I probably have spent 3 hours on the computer with APC support. This is on a $150 item. I am awaiting an APC supplied new USB A to USB B cable to see if that works. I have tried another printer cable I have and it wouldn’t recognize the UPS with my pc. I suspect the new cable won’t matter but I will just wait and see.All I wanted to do is make sure my pc will utilize software to initiate a shutdown in a power loss. I guess I just purchased a small boat anchor. How can this product be so hard to use according to published information?Next time, it will be another UPS manufacturer purchased from a source where I can return the item. Sorry, Amazon, it won’t be you!ADDENDUM and UPDATE -9-16-2023Note: This item IS returnable and it has been returned. My apologies to Amazon. When the USB is plugged into my computer from the UPS, there is no connection ‘sound’ like every other USB makes.I spent about 9 hours with Chat Support trying to figure out why this UPS would not connect to my Windows 10 Home pc. I was sent two USB A to USB B cables from APC besides the original one. None worked of the three provided. The PowerChute Serial Shutdown software never connected with the UPS and the error message was ‘Communication with UPS Lost’. Support couldn’t figure it out. All of the necessary Device Drivers were on my computer in the proper place (Windows, System32, Drivers); they were: hidclass.sys, hidparse.sys, and hibusb.sys.I have decided to purchase another UPS from a different manufacturer. Clearly, my computer isn’t at fault; the software from APC, which is rather new, is. Sorry, APC, you lost a customer.

Typical APC. Arrived broken and was a hassle to return
I thought I’d learned about APC products. Their quality has dropped and this was yet another example of poor build. Wiggling the non-detachable power cord cause the thing to kick in an out of backup mode, I guess due to a bad connection inside the box.So, I went to return it and was grilled by the chat person for 20 minutes before they would issue a return label. “Would you be willing to accept a partial refund” NO, it’s broken, arrived broken, I need to return it. “Well did you try a, b, c?” I’m like dude! Finally achieved return status, dropped it with UPS and then had to wait until they received it to get my money refunded. Not the Amazon experience I’m accustomed to.

Purchased February 2023. Medical issue delayed set up. Never has worked. At All
All it does is beep, and blink. searched for replacement batteries, APC says not found. This is ridiculous, a UPS that supplies no power and there are no replacement batteries ? APC sure has plumetted over the years, in Corp IT I used them for everything I could.

    Random shutdowns too many
APC.. do you read these reviews? I’ve always bought APC over the years, but I guess it’s time to go elsewhere. This thing has shut down during games and video chats. Very frustrating. And it figures it started after the 30 days past. Called APC and got the bla, bla. Sorry about that but not bought through us and past Amazon’s returns policy. Might as well have dropped my money in a garbage can and burned it.

Bought this for my PC, it has a Ryzen 9 7900x and an Nvidia 4080. This is enough power to allow for the pc to be shutdown properly in the event of a power outage. What its really great for is “cleaning” the power that comes into the PC. I’m in an old building with old wiring in a city, the power moves around a bit, every couple of days I’ll hear the UPS click off and on, especially in the summer when all the AC’s are going. That’s not good for the PC so the UPS really helps in that regard as well. Simple setup, wish the cord was a bit longer but that’s pretty much my only issues with it. You can get the personal version of the Powechute software to configure it off their website.
