Great Portable Charger. I Always Go With Anker
So in the past I have had the chance to use the lipstick chargers that Anker has made. These days they are not the optimal choice seeing as they only output 1 amp of power. This new PowerCore 5000 has proven to be the new portable charger of choice for me. It charges at 2 amp which is what most standard wall chargers do. I have taken a few photos to show a few different things about this charger. It is compact and the outer casing is solid. It is not metal but it is a mat black tough exterior. The button on the side makes it easy to use compared to the older lipstick chargers. The great thing though is that I didn’t even have to push it to make it start charging. Just plug in the phone and it started right up. Super easy to use and works as advertised. What more could you ask for?1st photo, the entire package. Everything that comes with the charger and the box it comes in. All very compact and nice.2nd photo is a photo of how much charge the charger had when it arrived. 2 out of three lights. I usually charge all new devices that I get right away just to start fresh. So I popped this onto a charger and it only took a couple hours. So I assume it was about %60 full.Now Photos 3 and 4 are the most important photos for me. I own a Galaxy Note5 and at the time I had %70 battery left on my phone. I plugged my phone into a standard 2 amp output wall charger to see what the time until fully charged said. As you can see in the photo it read 43 min until charged. So the ultimate test was to see if when plugged into the PowerCore 5000 the same reading showed. The final picture shows the phone plugged into the battery pack and the exact same reading. So this definitely charges just as good as a standard wall charger.I would suggest this product to anyone looking for a full phones worth of charge on the go and to do it at a decent speed. I love having quick charge on my phone but as of right now Anker does not make a quick charge 2.0 battery pack this small. I only use Anker products for charging my devices. I have a few lipstick chargers, now this charger, two PowerCore+ 10050 with quick charge 2.0, a couple of the wireless chargers, and a couple PowerPort chargers. They have never disappointed me and they are always trying to stay up to date with their equipment. This is a solid product and I will purchase another so I have a couple. Until they come out with a quick charge version that is. Then I will give these away to have those. But all in all a great charger for on the go. Easily fits in your pocket with your phone.

Amazing External Battery power bank
(Updated review)*******After getting a replacement; I was able to finally use this for weeks. This actually is a life saver. This charged my phone from 14% to 100% when fully charged, charged tablet from 15% to 72% when there was only two indicator lights (second one was blinking). Good for those days when your not close to an outlet for hours. Would recommend for those who are always on the go. Takes four hours and few minutes to be fully charged to 100%.Pros: came in a nice box along with a nice textured bag to store it after use. It didn’t feel flimsy or cheap. It is a well made product. Indicator lights are nice as they tell you how much charge you have in the PowerCore left AND it also tells you when your PowerCore is fully charged, this takes the guess work out of whether or not your PowerCore is fully charged. Also, comes with micro usb cord. Also, a nice size as it can fit into the palm of my hand and bag perfectly. This isn’t bulky.If you are looking for a external battery I would recommend this and this brand.*******(update above)Had for about two weeks and maybe one or two days. Started using by Tuesday, second week .Allowed battery to run right down as is recommended with new electronics. Charged fully with Samsung charger to 100% in 4 hours and maybe a few minutes. Used again Thursday while I was out, with my electronics whether they are bullet proof or not, I’m always careful with them. By Saturday, everything went wrong. Charged it for 3 hours but wasn’t charging, charged again for another two hours still haven’t charged, the indicators didn’t light anymore. Tried switching between chargers, usb cords and changing the USB wall charger. Still won’t blink or charge phone or charge itself. Had completely given up and considered it to be faulty. I usually trust Anker to be one of the best brands and would have brought their products without second guessing as I have put a lot of trust into this brand, I now have option of buying another which I highly doubt.Wished it had lasted me for more than a week, I wouldn’t even mind if it had lasted me at least to a year to a year and half. Maybe in the future I will purchase it again but this one is most likely going in trash.

This portable charger from Anker is fantastic!! I have a number of Anker products as I find their build quality, performance, and price to be outstanding. This PowerCore 5000 is no exception. I have a much larger portable Anker charger,but I was looking for something small to stash in my purse. This one is perfect! I can’t believe how compact and slim it is and the materials are superb. Anker includes everything you need – the battery, USB to Micro USB charging cable, and even a very nice quality carrying pouch – see my 3 pictures. The box and packaging itself are very nice too which is great because I think this product makes a really great gift.Performance is stunning as always from Anker. I have used this to charge my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus phone, Sony Alpha A6000 camera, Jaybird X2 Bluetooth earbuds, iPad Pro 9.7″, iPad Mini 4 (with appropriate cables) and quite a few other devices as well. All charged flawlessly and quickly.
