Pretty freakin cool if you’re a Marvel fan
This was such a cool looking purchase! I am a huge Marvel fan!! So when I saw this I HAD to get it! The quality of it is great it was super easy to set up and works well. There was one slight problem and the reason I didn’t give it 5 stars. Alexa can not really hear commands that well…well sometimes she can others times she can’t depending on your proximity. However that doesn’t really bother me because I still think it is so cool. I just thought I would mention it.

Purchased as a gift so I’m not sure about exactly how it functions but the quality seems very strong and from what I was reading it’s easy to set up so personally I would purchase it for myself and the color and design is pretty cool if you are thin of Iron Man or any other Avengers.

Pro: kind of cool in the photoCon: looks worse in real life. Maybe if it had a cap or if Echo came in red…Pro: lights shine throw eye slitsCon: poor design doesn’t actually fit power cord: the strain relief (cable gland) doesn’t fit even if you try to skew the Echo to angle just the cable into the creaseCon: Echo can’t hear you. It’s a common issue with no adjustment and no support. The general workaround is to constantly reboot and even factory reset. For me, that only worked for one or two requests (which were frequently wasted on “[Wake Word], can you hear me?”)Con: Can’t set the Wake Word (not that it can hear you anyway) to Jarvis or FridayCon: Very limited voice selectionCon: Most of the voices SUCK! It’s 2025, already! I get robocalls with better vocaloids!Con: The service isn’t consistent. Ask for the temperature, it may say the temp, it may start babbling a week-long forecast. (you may have to ask through the phone app or your TV).Con: It doesn’t understand simple requests. Siri has been doing it for years. Google, once you figure out how to phrase things, works. Alexa is just crap. It makes AI search engines look intelligent by comparison.Con: Ordered as a bundle (single line item): billed separately, shipped separately (different days), returned separately (both UPS: one with a printed label, one with a QR Code). They couldn’t even get the return process right!Con: ridiculously overpriced, even for licensed merchandiseI really wanted this to work. Despite all the flaws with the stand, I would have kept it IF THE ECHO ACTUALLY WORKED. Nope. This was a comedy of errors from start to finish.
